DIAGNOSING COVID19 WITH BREATH ANALYSIS

HOW CAN WE DIAGNOSE COVID19 WITH BREATH ?

It has been scientifically proven that there are detectable metabolites  and volatile organic compounds (voc’s) in breath which shows consistent and similar changes reflecting  bodies situation such as infections.  By doing breath voc’s  measurements and capacity, lung health along with  infections and viruses can be detected.

WHAT IS THE CURRENT DIAGNOSE METHOD?

COVID19 virus effects the upper and lower respiratory systems. Inorder to diagnose the virus certain amount of virus should be present at the respiratory system. The current diagnosing method of covid19 relies on interpreting clinical or radiological findings and searching viruses on samples taken . However these methods are not fast , handy and accurate and result in false negative or false positives. Besides a large portion of asymptomatic cases can not be detected with these methods and causing the wide spread of the epidemic. Both for symptomatic and asymptomatic cases it is a certain necessity to develop early diagnosing kits.

Early diagnose with breath is possible .​

We have been working with breath analysis for more than 2 years doing some clinical tests, hospital  and beta user trials for metabolism health, lung functions and detecting viruses and infections. Measuring breath gasses and volume enables us to indicate metabolism, lung health and study infections to create a mathematical algorithm. By combining  IOT technologies with nano-sensors  we successfully developed portable and affordable devices which can easly be used by clinics and end users by  tracking data to develop predictive analysis AI models.

We have started our project  involving  breath analysis of COVID19 patients to determine lung capacity, voc’s and metaboles in breath to collect data  for developing our algorithm to be used for early detection or tracking treatment.  We believe this would not only be usefull for the current epdemic, it would also  be highly beneficall for helping healthcare system by remote diagnosing of viral phnemonias or preventing new epidemics.
